I am the Administrative Secretary and Treasurer for Calvary UMC. In 2012, my husband and I moved to Door County after spending 30 years in Kenosha, WI where I worked for the Kenosha Unified School District. We have two children and two grandchildren. I love living in Door County and working with the wonderful people of Calvary and Zion Churches.
I grew up in Egg Harbor and attended the Old Stone Church when I was about 4 years old with my sister Ethel. There I met a gentleman by the name of Fred Berger. He continued to drive us back and forth to church. We attended Sunday school at the parsonage. I moved away after I graduated from high school but returned in 1989 with my husband Paul, son Jeremy Dart, Son Peter Peterson and daughter Penni Peterson. Egg Harbor is home. There’s no place like the town of Egg Harbor.
I am a graduate of the University of Iowa with a major in music. I moved to Fish Creek in 1995 when my husband retired from the ministry. I have been organist at Calvary Church since 1997. Sanctuary Singers is a choir I have directed once a month since 1998. Door County displays the beauty of God’s country in every season, and the combination of resort area and “small town flavor” of living here is very special. It is a lovely place to live while enjoying many different kinds of opportunities.
